Making congressional data easier to access
watch.vote started as a personal project. I wanted to track what's happening in Congress, but the official sites were hard to navigate. So I built something simpler: a straightforward way to find bills, follow legislators, and see what's actually happening in Washington.
Why This Exists
Congress.gov is hard to use
The official government sites have all the data, but finding what you need is frustrating. Want to see all healthcare bills from this session? Or check what your representative voted on? The information is there, but it takes forever to find.
watch.vote fixes that. It's a simple interface to search bills, filter by topic, and see member voting records. Everything comes from official sources. We're just making it easier to find.

How we work
This is a side project built to make government data more accessible. Here's what guides how we build:

Transparency
All our data comes straight from Congress.gov. No spin, no interpretation. Just the facts so you can make your own decisions.

Accuracy
We pull directly from official sources. What you see is what's actually happening in Congress, updated regularly.

Neutrality
We don't take sides. Our job is to show you what bills are moving, who's sponsoring them, and how they're progressing.
